FEEL INFORMED, EMPOWERED, AND SUPPORTED AT EVERY STAGE—FROM PRECONCEPTION TO POSTPARTUM.

YOU'RE NOT JUST A LAB VALUE OR A CYCLE DAY.

Whether you are preparing to conceive, going through IVF, newly pregnant or recovering from loss, your body deserves individualized support that goes deeper than symptom management.

Fertility naturopathy in Kelowna with Dr. Alex Lucyshen

When you are trying to conceive, the journey can feel overwhelming. A constant cycle of hope, heartbreak and unanswered questions.

Maybe you’ve been told everything looks normal, yet month after month, nothing changes. Maybe you’re feeling pressure to move quickly to IVF even though part of you wonders if there’s something deeper being missed.

Maybe you’ve been told to “just keep trying” until it's been 12 months, or worse, until you’ve had multiple miscarriages before anyone will take your concerns seriously.

Wherever you are—trying naturally, preparing for fertility treatments, or somewhere in between—you are not alone.

I believe that fertility isn’t just about timing—it's about creating the healthiest possible foundation for conception, pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

In my practice, we look beyond the surface to uncover the “why” behind your fertility struggles and create a personalized plan to support true healing and resilience.

Whether you are hoping to conceive naturally or preparing for an assisted cycle (like IUI or IVF) my goal is always the same. To help you feel empowered, supported and deeply connected to your body every step of the way.

Dr. Alex Lucyshen's approach to fertility & pregnancy care

Fertility and pregnancy are not checklist events; they are complex, sacred and deeply personal transitions. My role is to guide you, helping you understand your body, restore balance, and support each phase with clinical insight and emotional care.

I take a root cause, hormone-aware, and nervous system-informed approach to help your body do what it’s designed to do, but with the nourishment, data, and support it needs to thrive.

You are not just a cycle to track or a lab result to normalize; your body is complex, intelligent, and capable, and when we support it at the root, it can do amazing things.

Common questions

Is naturopathic fertility support only for natural conception?

Not at all. Many of my patients are also working with fertility clinics, and we complement that care beautifully. Naturopathic medicine can help improve egg quality, reduce medication side effects and support implantation.

Do you support pregnancy after miscarriage or loss?

Yes, I offer trauma-informed care for women navigating pregnancy after loss, with special attention to emotional safety, lab monitoring and nervous system regulation.

Can you order the necessary labs or work with my fertility specialist?

Yes, I can order both basic and functional lab testing (paid privately and not covered through MSP). I am happy to work collaboratively with your MD, OB, Midwife or reproductive endocrinologist.

Do I need a diagnosis to start?

No diagnosis needed. You also don’t need to wait for 12 months to investigate fertility concerns. Many patients come to me with “normal” labs or “unexplained” infertility but something isn’t adding up. We’ll dig deeper and look at the whole picture.

Do I need to be actively trying to conceive?

No, preconception care ideally starts 3-6 months before trying to conceive, but I also support women who are postpartum, newly pregnant or considering TTC well into the future.

Can I do virtual appointments?

Yes, I offer care across BC and Manitoba, and in-person appointments in Kelowna. Lab tests and follow-ups are coordinated wherever you are located.

Can I do this if I’m already working with a fertility clinic?

Absolutely. I often support women alongside IUI, IVF, or retrieval cycles to improve egg quality, uterine lining health, energy, and reduce stress. My care is designed to complement your medical care.

Is this safe in pregnancy or during fertility treatments?

Yes, I have supported women through every phase of preconception and pregnancy using gentle, evidence-informed naturopathic care. Whether it’s managing nausea, supporting iron levels, or calming anxiety, your treatment will be individualized and safe.
